The City Commission has voted, 3-2, in favor of removing and relocating the Confederate War Memorial from the Plaza de la Constitution, the city of Saint Augustine said on Facebook.

I cannot decide at this moment what is worse, the cowards that run the city commission of my hometown of Saint Augustine in Florida, or the cowards and bully of the Black Lives Matter domestic terror group. The previous generation watched in horror as the Nazis burned the books they didn't like, and vowed it would never happen again. Well, it is happening again, only this time the Nazis are Black Lives Matter, and the books are statues of anyone and everyone they disagree with. Have you people learned nothing in 75 years?
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure." Thomas Jefferson
Deny it all you like, but America is knee-deep in a second civil war, and like it or not, the Black Lives Matter bad guys are winning. The prize? The collapse of America, the ripping up of our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. The goal? Creation of a Marxist welfare state, run by anarchists, where Communist ideals are enforced at the point of a gun. And our elected leaders, those weak, snivelling cowards we put in office, from the Saint Augustine City Commission all the way to Washington, are letting it happen.
I live in Saint Augustine, the oldest city in America, and today I am deeply ashamed of the cowardly actions our elected leaders have taken as they have betrayed not only its citizens, but every ideal of freedom and liberty I was ever taught to believe America stood for. Shame on you, Mayor Upchurch, and shame on you Saint Augustine City Commission. I say let all burn to the ground, it's time to start over.

City leaders in St. Augustine will decide the fate of confederate monuments on Monday morning. Confederate monuments have caused a lot of controversy over the years. In 2017, the city council voted to keep confederate memorials and later added plaques to bring historical context.

Action News Jax reported two weeks ago when protesters in St. Augustine demanded the confederate monuments be taken down, standing in strength with those impacted by recent violence.
The monument at Plaza de la Constitucion could be relocated, pending the decision of the city commission. The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. If you would like to submit a public comment, email CityClerk@CityStAug.com before 8 a.m. or call when prompted at 904-293-4330. READ MORE
