My mother was a first generation American named Murphy whose family in County Cork, Ireland dates back hundreds of years. The Irish have a long tradition of supporting life and family values. So what could be the reason for their hard Left shift? One reason could be a reaction to the decades of physical and sexual abuse at the hands of the Catholic Church in Ireland. Child sexual abuse at the hands of Catholic priests has caused more damage and carnage than IRA gun battles. So much so that Pope Francis was forced to fly there and attempt to do damage control. But his refusal to address the issue in any meaningful way only inflamed tensions all the more. Now Ireland dances joyously after voting to kill their unborn future citizens, without perhaps realizing they have also sealed their own destruction. Just ask the blacks in America who killed 19,000,000 of their own babies in the years since Roe v. Wade made abortion legal in America in 1973. The real cost of abortion has always been counted in human lives, and not money. Ireland rejected a series of amendments that would have provided at least some protections for unborn babies, including a ban on sex-selection abortions and abortions on unborn babies with Down syndrome FROM LIFE NEWS: Ireland is on its way to adopting one of the most radical pro-abortion laws in the world after it repealed its pro-life Eighth Amendment in May.This week, the Dáil is debating a bill to legalize abortion for any reason up to 12 weeks of pregnancy and up to six months in a wide variety of circumstances. It would force taxpayers to pay for abortions and force Catholic hospitals to provide them. The bill also strictly limits conscience protections for medical professionals. RTE reports the Dáil voted Wednesday against an amendment to require parental consent for girls under 16 who want abortions. The move came after TDs rejected similar amendments to ban sex-selection abortions and taxpayer-funded abortions and to require basic medical care for infants born alive after botched abortions. TDs voted 69 to 21 against the parental consent amendment. The Independent Deputy Michael Collins said people can’t join the army, make a contract, get teeth whitened, or use a sunbed under 18 without consent. He questioned why a daughter should be allowed to end the life of “your grandchild, maybe under 18 without you knowing”. It was noted by the Fianna Fáil Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív that the Minister had already pointed out that parental notification exists in the medical guidelines. He suggested that if elected representatives were against the idea of notification guidelines, they should campaign to take it out of the Medical Council guidelines. Abortion politics are nearing a boiling point in Ireland as parliament nears a final vote on the bill. Hundreds of doctors, nurses and midwives said pro-abortion political leaders have repeatedly ignored their concerns, and they fear losing their jobs or being forced to help abort unborn babies. Government leaders want medical staff to be ready to begin aborting unborn babies Jan. 1, 2019, but the medical community says it is not ready. Earlier this week, dozens of doctors stormed out of an emergency meeting about the abortion legislation. They said political leaders have been ramming through the bill without consulting the medical community or giving it ample time to prepare. Meanwhile, the Irish Times reports government leaders admitted this week that ethical guidelines for doctors on abortion will not be ready by Jan. 1. Some pro-life TDs have said the legislation is much more extreme than what voters wanted when they chose to repeal the pro-life Eighth Amendment in May. An October poll by Amárach found that 60 percent of Irish residents oppose taxpayer-funded abortions. In addition, a full 80 percent say health care workers should not be forced to carry out abortions against their conscience. Last week, TDs rejected a series of amendments that would have provided at least some protections for unborn babies, including a ban on sex-selection abortions and abortions on unborn babies with Down syndrome, as well as a ban on taxpayer-funded abortions. The bill also would force Catholic hospitals and pregnancy centers to promote or provide abortions against their consciences as well. In September, Health Minister Simon Harris confirmed that Catholic hospitals will be forced to abort unborn babies, saying, “… conscientious objection is for individuals, not institutions.” READ MORE

Lebanese Army On High Alert As Israel Launches ‘Operation Northern Shield’ To Destroy Complex Network of Hezbollah Underground Tunnels by Geoffrey Grider The IDF destroyed a Hezbollah tunnel that penetrated into Israeli territory south of the Lebanese village of Kfar Kila, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced in a statement Tuesday, launching Operation Northern Shield to protect Israel from cross-border tunnels dug by Hezbollah. Since 2012, terror group Hezbollah has had a plan they call 'Conquering the Galilee', and it is basically what you would think it is. It is the endless and ongoing operation by Islamic terrorists to drive the Jews into the sea, and destroy Israel once and for all. "Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion." Psalm 129:5 (KJV) Now obviously Hezbollah forces are no match for the Israeli army in an all-out war, not even close. But they don't fight all-out war, they engage in guerilla-style warfare. One of the sneakiest and most deadly tactics Hezbollah has are the far-reaching underground tunnels that allows them to travel undetected behind Israeli borders. Once there, they pop up out of the ground and being killing Jews. Late last night, Israel launched 'Operation Northern Shield' with an amazing array of tunnel-busting weapons and machinery designed to neutralize the ability of Hezbollah to attack Israel from beneath. The Lebanese army has been placed on high alert as Operation Northern Shield begins. IDF OPENS OPERATION NORTHERN SHIELD, DESTROYING HEZBOLLAH TUNNEL FROM LEBANON FROM THE JPOST: The 2x2 meter tunnel started in a home in southern Lebanon and stretched some 40 meters into Israeli territory, but did not represent an imminent threat to residents in the area, the IDF said. It was built starting from a home in Kfar Kila and took two years to build and had running electricity, the army said. “The digging of the cross-border attack tunnels that the IDF has discovered, before the attack tunnels became operational and posed an imminent threat to the safety of Israeli civilians, constitutes a flagrant and severe violation of Israeli sovereignty,” said IDF Spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Ronen Manelis. The objective of the operation is to expose and neutralize all Hezbollah attack tunnels which have crossed into Israeli territory. The operation will take place all along the "Blue Line," the name for the international border between Israel and Lebanon and strictly within Israeli territory. IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot held a situational assessment in Metullah with OC Northern Command Maj.-Gen. Yoel Strick, the army said. The IDF has sent a message to UNIFIL and the Lebanese army that anyone who crosses into Israel risks their life. The IDF said it will not allow anyone to cross into Israel and called on UNIFIL to enforce UN Resolution 1701. The IDF launched Operation Northern Shield overnight on Monday to expose and destroy cross-border attack tunnels built by Hezbollah, a proxy of Iran, along the Lebanon border and into northern Israel. The operation will be led by Strick and will include troops from the Combat Engineering Corps, the Intelligence Branch, as well as the Defense Ministry’s Administration for the Development of Weapons and Technological Infrastructure (MAFAT) will take part. The military stated that a number of areas close to the security fence with Lebanon, including Metula, have been declared a closed military zone and that it has beefed up troop numbers in the Northern Command ahead of all possible scenarios. FROM WASHINGTON BEACON: Refuting Iranian claims that its illicit missile tests are defensive in nature, Trump administration Iran envoy Brian Hook vowed tough reprisals for Iran's most recent missile tests, which are among the most provocative in recent memory. "Iran has launched missiles that are capable of carrying multiple warheads, including a nuclear weapon," Trump administration Iran envoy Brian Hook confirmed to the Washington Free Beacon while talking to reporters aboard Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's airplane en route to Brussels for NATO meetings. The Iranian ballistic missile test comes on the heels of new evidence unearthed by the United States tying Tehran to the proliferation of advanced weaponry and missiles across the Middle East, including in Yemen, where Iranian-backed rebels continue to attack a Saudi coalition seeking to stem the violence. The Trump administration's response to these latest tests stands apart from that of its predecessor, the Obama administration, which intentionally left Iran's ballistic missile technology off the table when inking the landmark nuclear pact. "The Iranian government claims that its missile testing is completely defensive in nature. How exactly is the world's leading sponsor of terrorism entitled to the claim of defense?" Hook asked. "In fact, Iran's security concerns are entirely self generated. Was the plot to bomb Paris defensive? Was the assassination attempt in Denmark defensive? Is smuggling missiles to the Houthis in Yemen to attack Saudi Arabia and the Emirates defensive? Is harboring al Qaeda defensive?" "For the last 12 years, the United Nations Security Council has been telling the Iranian regime to stop testing and proliferating ballistic missiles, and Iran continues to defy the U.N. Security Council," Hook said. "Iran's continued testing and proliferation of ballistic missiles shows that the Iran deal has not moderated the Iranian regime as some had hoped." "It was a mistake to exclude missiles from the Iran nuclear deal and is one of the principle reasons the United States left it," Hook said, directly criticizing the previous administration for caving to Iran's demands that its advanced missile program not be covered under the deal. "Iran's defense needs would be entirely different if they had not decided to wage sectarian wars of choice for the last 39 years." The number one enemy of the Jews and Israel is not the mythical Palestinian people who are really Jordanians. No, the eternal enemy of Israel is who it has always been, the Roman Catholic Church in general, with the pope in particular. "Particular attention was reserved for the status of Jerusalem, underlining the importance of recognizing and preserving its identity and the universal value of the holy City for the three Abrahamic religions," a Vatican statement said, referring to Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. U.S. President Donald Trump outraged the Arab world last year when he reversed decades of policy by recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital and put Washington's embassy there. It was opened in May. Palestinians, with broad international backing, want east Jerusalem as the capital of a future independent state, while Israel views the whole city its "united and eternal" capital. The Vatican expressed concern last year at Trump's move, saying the city's "status quo" should be respected. Francis has called for all to honor U.N. resolutions on the city. The official Palestinian news agency WAFA said Abbas briefed the pope on "the implications of the U.S. decision." As Abbas was leaving the library, he told the pope: "We are counting on you." It was not clear what he was referring to. The Vatican backs a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with both sides agreeing on the status of Jerusalem as part of the peace process. The statement said Abbas and the pope also discussed efforts to reactivate the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and hoped for "a renewed commitment on the part of the international community to meet the legitimate aspirations of both peoples." They also urged an end to "extremism and fundamentalism" in the Middle East, and called for reconciliation among Palestinian factions. While it is true that not all homosexuals are pedophiles, it is true that all male priests who have sex with underage boys are homosexual. I can safely say that statement is not up for debate by anyone. So it is quite odd to me, on a variety of levels, that Pope Francis is only now saying that homosexual priests should leave the Catholic Church. "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." Revelation 17:5 (KJV) After tens of thousands of cases of homosexual pedophilic attacks by gay priests on young boys, you would think that Pope Francis would have come to this conclusion quite a while ago. Like, say, on his first day in office, maybe? And why is he only speaking out about it after being exposed Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano? And why is he only saying this as a suggestion? Isn't the pope 'infallible' when giving orders regarding faith and morals from his 'magic throne'? Why not just issue a command getting rid of all homosexual priests? I will tell you why Papa Frankie won't do that. Because if he did, the Catholic Church would have an immediate 85% vacancy in the priesthood, and that would leave the world's largest corporation far too understaffed to continue operating. Like any other for-profit business you need workers. Be celibate or leave the priesthood, Pope Francis tells gay priests FROM REUTERS: “The question of homosexuality is a very serious one,” he said, adding that those entrusted with training men to be priests must be certain that candidates are “humanly and emotionally mature” before they can be ordained. Pope Francis said there was “no room for this” in the lives of priests and nuns, adding that the Church had to be “demanding” in choosing candidates for what is known as the consecrated life. “For this reason, the Church urges that persons with this rooted tendency not be accepted into (priestly) ministry or consecrated life,” he said. He urged homosexuals who are already priests or nuns to be celibate and responsible to avoid creating scandal. “It is better that they leave the priesthood or the consecrated life rather than live a double life,” he said. The interview was conducted in mid-August. Less than two weeks later, on Aug. 26, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, the Vatican’s former ambassador to the Vatican, threw the Catholic Church into turmoil with a bombshell statement against the pope and Vatican officials. Vigano said a “homosexual network” existed in the Vatican, whose members helped promote each other’s careers in the Church. He also accused the pope of having ignored alleged sexual misconduct with adult male seminarians by former American cardinal Theodore McCarrick, 88. The Vatican said Vigano’s accusations were riddled with “calumny and defamation”. The Catholic Church has been haunted for more than two decades by evidence of thousands of cases of sexual abuse of minors by clergy around the world, in countries ranging from the United States to Australia, Ireland, Belgium, Germany and Chile. In July, McCarrick became the first cardinal to resign in nearly 100 years after U.S. Church officials said allegations made in a separate investigation that he had sexually abused a 16-year-old boy almost 50 years ago were credible and substantiated. McCarrick has said he had no recollection of the alleged abuse of the minor, but has not commented on the allegations of misconduct with the seminarians, which allegedly took place decades ago. READ MORE
