From nurses joining BDS to Greens declaring ‘Zionism is racism,’ hostility toward Israel is spreading through British institutions, eroding Western values and raising questions about whether even Washington can still fully trust its closest ally.
Two weeks ago, it was Britain’s Royal College of Nursing (RCN), which represents hundreds of thousands of nurses and nursing staff in the country. The men and women in white nursing uniforms decided to join the BDS movement and to sever all ties with Teva as part of a boycott.
True, there will be no immediate impact on Britain’s drug supply, but we already know where this is heading. Step by step, they are embracing the Islamist logic: It does not matter how much we hurt ourselves, as long as Jews are harmed, even slightly. After all, that was the logic behind the October 7 massacre.
We had barely finished with the nurses when Britain’s Green Party approved a resolution declaring that “Zionism is racism.” Adding insult to injury, it also expressed opposition to a two-state solution while embracing the “solution” of one state.
