President Trump was right, The EU statistics agency Eurostat says Russia supplies 70% of Germany's gas

President Trump was absolutely on fire today at the NATO Summit, tearing into Germany on a variety of levels. He even went so far as to say, because of their financial dealings, that 'Germany is a captive of Russia'. The Liberal fake news media here in the States had a predictable field day with the President's comments, but when all the smoke finally settled, news outlets across the EU admitted that President Trump had spoken the truth.
"Germany is a captive of Russia," Trump said at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. "It's very inappropriate. I think it's something that NATO has to look at," Trump said. "Germany is totally controlled by Russia."
FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: Donald Trump's claim that Germany imports 70 per cent of its gas from Russia at a fiery NATO summit today is correct - and the country will soon receive even more. The EU's statistics agency, Eurostat, says that Russia is responsible for up to 75% of Germany's total gas imports. And experts say that figure could dramatically increase after a new pipeline between Russia and Germany opens in two years time. Germany already imports 55 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia via the Nord Stream pipeline and will pump another 55 billion cubic meters through the new Nord Stream 2 network. Most of the remaining 30% comes from Norway. Germany is the world's biggest natural gas importer and needs to import 92 percent of the gas it consumes. Trump also claimed today that Germany spends 'billions and billions of dollars a year' on Russian gas. In fact, Germany's bill for Russian gas last year was 17 billion euros ($21 billion) for some 87 billion cubic meters, according to Gazprom, the state-run Russian gas company. READ MORE
How great is that? Finally, America has a president that is not afraid to confront the oligarchs of the EU and Russia, and call it like it is. Did the President step on a lot of toes, make a lot of people mad? He sure did, and I don't know about you, but this is exactly why he got my vote in 2016.
President Trump also told NATO that it is well beyond time for them to step up and start contributing their fair share to the defense budget. Go get 'em, Mr. President! Compare this to Barack Obama's speech at the Brandenburg Gate in 2008 where he declared himself to be a 'citizen of the world'.
How very far we've come in such a very short time. #MAGA #TRUMP2020
