I would like to take a moment to tell everyone that we have switched over to our new website design and Wordpress system on the main site of Rapture Forums. The forums will continue without any software change. We did have some unexpected issues at the beginning of the week with the site being down as we moved to a new hosting platform, but we have resolved these issues and the new site is up and running.
Unfortunately, we were not able to keep the same article links from previous newsletters. So, the links in previous newsletters are no longer working anymore. The article links in this newsletter go to the new Rapture Forums website with the new design. However, I am currently setting up the old Rapture Forums site up on a different domain name and will be making that site available to the public as it carries the weight of the first 9-10 years of the Rapture Forums ministry.
In a way, you could say we are expanding the Rapture Forums ministry as we add the new website under the Rapture Forums ministry umbrella. I do not want all that hard work to disappear and to go to waste, so in the very near future, probably in the next newsletter or two, I will be giving you the new domain name for the old site so you can still visit it and have the resources available there. However, we will not be regularly updating the old Rapture Forums site anymore. The forums on the old Rapture Forums site will be closed, so the site will be an "archives" of rapture and end times information. Our focus now will be in adding some of the articles from the old site to the new one, while moving the ministry forward on the new website.
The change in the website design and layout was due to the need for me to have an easier way to update the site rather than the long and manual hand-coding of the site I have been doing for the past 9-10 years. This took me on average everyday around 2-4 hours to update the main site and the forums after having worked all day at my full-time job. This has taken a toll on me. So, in the end something had to give.
I anticipate the new system will save me precious time that can be spent adding even more articles and resources to the new Rapture Forums site each day and in less time. Also, the new main site is mobile-friendly and is viewable on all mobile devices including tablets.
I hope you enjoy the new site and we will continue to be busy about the Lord's work in these last days and telling people about the Good News of Jesus Christ. And remember to keep looking up, for our redemption is getting closer each day!
