Houthis say at least 25 killed in Saudi air strike

Media linked to the Houthi movement in Yemen say that at least 25 people, including women and children, have been killed in airstrikes by Saudi Arabia.

There has been no comment from the Saudi-led coalition backing the internationally recognised government in Yemen.

Live video footage on Al Masirah - a television station run by the Houthis - has shown rescuers pulling bodies out of the rubble of several buildings in al-Shariyah, a town to the east of the capital, Sanaa.

The bodies of young children can be seen among those dug out from the ruins. The television station has also shown a number of injured people being carried on stretchers to hospital.

Saba news agency, which is also run by the Houthis, said the attack was carried out by Saudi Arabia. The Saudis have led a coalition that has been fighting the Houthis for more than a decade in support of Yemen's internationally recognised government.

Israel's president tasks opposition leader Eisenkot with forming government

Israel's president says he will task opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot with forming a new coalition government.

Isaac Herzog has been holding talks with political parties after neither Eisenkot's bloc nor that of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secured a majority in Israel's parliament, known as the Knesset, following last week's election.

Eisenkot will now have 28 days to try to form a new administration, with a potential 14-day extension.

"Now is the time to form a national emergency government. I will do everything to ensure we are worthy," the former military chief wrote on X.

No political party in Israel has ever won an outright majority, meaning all governments have been coalitions.

Netanyahu's right-wing Likud party and its far-right and ultra-Orthodox Jewish allies won 53 seats in the 120-seat Knesset, while Eisenkot's centrist Yashar party and three other Jewish opposition parties in his bloc won 48.

Outrage as Civil Service calendar fails to mark Remembrance Sunday but celebrates trans day

Foreign Office civil servants have sparked outrage after their 2026 calendar lists 110 awareness days, weeks and months, including Trans Day, but omits Remembrance Sunday.

The revelation comes as the nation prepares to pay tribute to Britain’s war heroes, with King Charles leading commemorations at the Cenotaph in Whitehall.

The diplomatic calendar covers a wide range of gender identity, sexuality and wellbeing observances but overlooks several of the nation's most significant dates of remembrance and celebration.

Whilst November 11 is noted, the Sunday ceremony honouring members of the Armed Forces who gave their lives for Britain does not appear.

Tens of thousands of tents flooded after heavy rains in Gaza

Heavy rains have flooded tens of thousands of tents where displaced residents have been living in Gaza, with a United Nations official saying almost everyone in the territory needs help.

Residents used pots and pans to clear water from their flooded tents, with some saying they were left without shelter.

Jonathan Veitch, the Unicef representative for Palestine, said the "desperate" situation was being made worse by Israeli restrictions on the entry of heavy machinery and supplies such as engine oil.

Some 90% of Gaza residents have been displaced by the Israeli war against Hamas, many of them multiple times, with limited access to clean water and sanitation.

Aid agencies say the situation is likely to worsen with the start of the rainy season. Speaking to the BBC from Deir Al Balah in central Gaza, Veitch said: "It's just horrific and they're absolutely desperate.

"We're providing all the assistance that we can but we're getting stopped on the street as we're driving now because people are begging us for help."

The Hamas-run government in Gaza said about 70,000 tents had been flooded. A spokesperson said the "collapse of dozens of cracked walls and roofs" had caused injuries, some of which were critical.

Veitch also said there were fewer tarpaulins, plastic sheeting and tents available in the Gaza strip due to UN budget cuts.

Your Tomorrow is Dead by John Little from "Revelation Six"

When I was a kid, I fell in love with science. My father was a chemist and encouraged our love of science. And when I dropped out of High School and went to university (yes, I’m a high school dropout with an MBA) I had dreams of getting my PhD in Physics and do hardcore research into how God’s Creation works.

Three years into my physics degree, God dragged me out of the physics department and plunked me down into Geopolitics and War. He did not need someone with a PhD in Physics, but God did need someone who understood why nations decide what they have chosen to do and why they go to war. I’ve been a lifelong student of war, so it was an easy fit.

Two years later, I graduated with what most would call a worthless degree, unless I wanted to join the Deep State. And yes, the Deep State did eventually reach out to me and ask me to join them. I politely said “No”, and went off to Asia to do evangelism. But that’s a different story.

Looking at my worthless degree, I realized that I needed something useful. So, I got my MBA in finance. I loved every bit of it - except that accounting course I had to take. Wow do I hate accounting. Something in my brain just doesn’t want anything to do with it.

Some time after graduating with that MBA, I went off to Asia to do evangelism in 1992. Specifically in Jerusalem. I learned Hebrew. I worked for an offshore investment firm, first as a financial advisor and then as a mutual fund manager. Eventually, I got sick of the corruption I was dealing with and got out. You have no idea how corrupt the finance industry is. Trust me on this.

US offers $20m reward for information about Iran's nuclear programme

The US has announced a reward of up to $20 million for information about Iran's nuclear programme.

The State Department's Rewards for Justice is also offering to potentially relocate the person who provides such details.

President Donald Trump claimed last year that Iran's nuclear facilities had been "completely and totally obliterated" following a bombing campaign by the US and Israel.

Iran insists its nuclear programme is peaceful and that it has no intention of developing a nuclear weapon.

Meanwhile, the US military says it is setting up a task force to enhance Washington's efforts to restrict Iran's movement of weapons and sanctioned material across its borders.

The US military's Central Command (Centcom) said Task Force Iron Gate would operate from Tampa, Florida, and would work with other US government agencies.

As well as the movement of weapons, it will also focus on dual-use and illegal revenue streams. Centcom estimates that its naval blockade of Iran's ports has prevented the country from exporting more than $25bn in crude oil.
