The people in northern Israel became PAGAN/HEATHEN (people that worship false gods), while the saints dwelled in the south in Judah.

Like the division between northern Israel and southern Israel in old timey days, America is also divided between the North and South. In Israel, the north was dominated by leftists, while the south was sometimes dominated by Conservatives (those who follow Biblical values).
