“On our way to bring peace in exchange for peace,” Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted moments before the aircraft took off.

Today is September 13th, 2020, and the time of this writing is 7:37 PM EST. As you are reading these words, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu is in the air, flying to Washington to sign the Abraham Accord peace covenant at the White House. When he turns, Israel will be placed on a 21-day coronavirus lockdown which will begin at sundown on September 18th. A day that is the Jewish sabbath day, it is also the Feast of Trumpets. Just let that sink in for a moment or two before you continue reading.
"Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste." Isaiah 28:14-16 (KJB)
Just what can we expect this coming week by way of bible prophecy? That's hard to say, but when you look at the potential of what could happen with how everything is shaping up, it's more than a little exciting. Just imagine, in the same week, you will have Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain sign the Abraham Accord, the Feast of Trumpets on the sabbath day and the beginning of a 3 x 7 day lockdown for the entire nation of Israel! If you can't get excited by all that, you need to spend more time in your Old Testament and Revelation. The table is surely set for something more than biscuits and gravy.
"Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your dayswhich ye will not believe, though it be told you." Habakkuk 1:5 (KJB)
NTEB will be following all these events around-the-clock this coming week, with a very special 2-hour prophecy King James Bible study Wednesday night on the Jewish feast days in relation to prophetical events.

Israel to enter 21 day lockdown starting on Feast of Trumpets

FROM THE TIMES OF ISRAEL: With new infections running as high as 4,000 a day, Israeli ministers on Sunday approved a three-week nationwide lockdown over the upcoming Jewish holidays to contain the resurgent coronavirus outbreak.
The lockdown, bitterly opposed by many sectors of the workforce, and castigated by the opposition as proof of government failure, will take effect at 2 p.m. on Friday, hours before the start of Rosh Hashanah. Speaking at a press conference, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that under the restrictions, Israelis will be limited from traveling more than 500 meters from their home except for essential needs like food and medicine. Schools will be closed starting Friday, and businesses and public sector employers will face strict limitations that he did not specify.
Supermarkets, pharmacies and other essential businesses will be allowed to remain open and deliveries will be allowed.
Netanyahu acknowledged the “high price” for the public, and the economic pain, caused by the lockdown measures, but said there was no choice. Overall, he insisted the economy was doing better than other countries’, which he credited to Israel being among the first to lockdown in early spring and then to reopen its economy in May after the first lockdown. He presented a slide showing the decline in Israel’s GDP in the second quarter of 2020 as less steep than in countries including the United States and Germany, and promised financial compensation for those hurt in the new lockdown. READ MORE

Netanyahu flies to Washington to sign historic Abraham Accord peace deals with UAE and Bahrain

FROM THE TIMES OF ISRAEL: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed for Washington just after midnight Sunday, to attend a Tuesday ceremony at the White House at which he will sign declarations of normalization and peace with senior ministers from the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
“On our way to bring peace in exchange for peace,” he tweeted moments before the aircraft took off. The texts of the agreements have not yet been released, but the two Gulf states have agreed to fully normalize ties with Israel, in a US-brokered diplomatic breakthrough widely seen as a dramatic shift in attitudes toward Israel in parts of the Arab world. The UAE and Bahrain will be Israel’s third and fourth Arab peace partners, after Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
Calling the trip “historic,” Netanyahu told Israelis in a televised address on Sunday evening that he had brought “two peace deals in one month,” and said they would mean an economic boon for Israel.
“That’s always good, but it’s particularly good during the coronavirus,” he said.
Later, when Netanyahu and his wife arrived on the tarmac at Ben Gurion Airport, they boarded without commenting. However, Mossad spy agency chief Yossi Cohen briefly chatted with reporters, saying he felt “great excitement” at the trip and expressing hope that other countries would join the UAE and Bahrain in normalizing ties with Israel.
“We’re working on it,” he said.
The stairs to the flight were adorned with Israeli, American, UAE and Bahraini flags, while the aircraft itself was painted with the word peace in Hebrew, Arabic and English. READ MORE
