For those of you who have known or met dear Gwyn, you will already know that you could never hope to meet another more gentle, kind and loving man than this former pastor from Fochriw. Heaven's gain is certainly our loss, and we will all miss him greatly.
We all pray for his wife Beryl, pictured above with Gwyn at one of the church's functions, and although she will be extremely mournful and sad at this moment, in her heart she will be rejoicing that Gwyn is now free from all of his recent pains.
And also that he will be welcomed home with this well deserved accolade:
It is such a shame that dear Gwyn has passed to glory at such a dreadful time on earth with Coronavirus and Lockdown, and in all probablity we will not be able to hold the usual funeral for Gwyn at his spiritual home at the Fochriw Pentecostal Mission, which would have been packed to the rafters to give this wonderful man of God the glorious send off he thoroughly deserved. However, Pastor Steve Cross, pictured above with Gwyn, has promised that the church will honour this fine Christian man with a marvellous memorial service as soon as is possible.
We will miss Gwyn's preaching at FPM (pictured), his prayers, his loving and warm personality, and so much more but we praise God that our dear brother has been promoted to higher duty in glory.
Thank you dear Gwyn for being such a great pastor and a fine man - Goodnight Old Friend, See You In The Morning
With Love and Prayers From Everyone at Fochriw Pentecostal Mission, The Church On The Hill.
Very sorry to hear of the loss of Pastor Gwyn Davies. He was such a fine man, a fine Elder at Cefn Coed Y Cwmmer Pentecostal Church and later, a great Pastor of Fochriw Pentecostal Church. He was aided in later years by a young man (who I see now is the Pastor) who preached all over the land with fire and vigor. I hope he carries on the good Godly ministry at Fochriw which Gwyn Davies preserved. We had good fellowship at Fochriw, Cefn Coed Y Cwmmer, Tredegar and other Churches in that area, from the 1970s onwards, very happy memories. Thank God for those Beacons of light in an dark world.
