Chelsea Clinton could run for the seat in NYC’s 17th Congressional District once Lowey, a respected, 79-year-old career politician with nearly 30 years in office, decides to retire, we have exclusively learned. Lowey’s district includes parts of Rockland and Westchester counties and, conveniently, Chappaqua, the Clinton family home base. In the past few years, she has taken a very visible role in the Clinton Foundation and on the campaign trail. While politics isn’t the life Hillary wanted for Chelsea, she chose to go on the campaign trail for her mother and has turned out to be very poised, articulate and comfortable with the visibility.” The source continued, “There has been a lot of speculation within New York Democratic circles about Lowey’s retirement and Chelsea running for the seat. There is a belief that Chappaqua is a logical place for Chelsea to run, because it would be straightforward for her to raise money and build a powerful base.” A spokesperson for Lowey — who is serving her 14th term in Congress and was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1988 — declined to comment. I don't know about  you, but the last several months have been a roller coaster of emotions, fears, and me deciding to put the matter into God's hands. The election is finally over and whether your candidate won or not, we as a nation have enormous problems that will not go away anytime soon. The last 8 years have seen an administration that has pulled this nation down a wide path of moral depravity. This POTUS, (I will NOT say his name) has so divided this country along racial, gender, economic, and political lines drawn in the sand to such an extent that the country I grew up in, played in, and worked in has changed to a near unrecognizable image of its former glory and stature in the world and at home.

 

As I take a long, slow breath, I thank God for His mercy and grace that did not allow the single most criminal, flawed, and divisive candidate to ever run for the highest office in the land and leader of the free world that did not win the trust and the winning votes of the American people. On this day after the most important election of our times, second only to the last two that went the wrong way for the continued success of this experiment called the United States of America, I take a long look at where we have arrived and where possibly, we might be headed to.

Good morning, and welcome to a New World order.  Some commentators seem to see it as the onset of a 21st century Reign of terror. Huffington Post called it a "nightmare".  Foxnews called it a "media primal scream that registered 11 on the Richter scale". Obama lackey, Van Jones called it a "white-lash" against a changing country. But nobody really saw it coming.

The next president of the United States is a rich, rude, pompous, inarticulate womaniser with no political background to bring to the job and a really bad comb-over. 

And I have to admit that though my primary vote was given to someone else, yesterday I did vote for him. I kind of had to hold my nose, but I did fill in the little Trump circle on my ballot.

(This is Mississippi. No fancy machines here). My preferred candidate won. But I realise your results may differ. This election was brutally divisive. Even in my own Bible study small group -a group who has been together as a group for nearly ten years-individuals had different opinions. Although that meant either voting Trump or not voting at all.
