Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Grandson of Holocaust survivor leading his nation against invasion

~ We shed light on Zelenskyy’s Jewish roots, his fight for Holocaust memory and against antisemitism.

~ Zelenskyy is grandson of a Holocaust survivor; “…that grandson became president, and he is standing before you today.”

~ Ukraine’s recognition of Jerusalem was raised in December and a visit to Israel by Zelenskyy was planned for this year.

~ The president has reached out asking for prayer.

100 Jewish orphans among thousands set to arrive in Israel from Ukraine

One hundred Ukrainian Jewish orphans are among refugees arriving in Israel this weekend from war-torn Ukraine. 

The group is now expected to be on the first of three flights to arrive in Tel Aviv on Sunday.

‘You are killing Holocaust victims for the second time' – Ukrainian president’s plea following memorial hit

Ukraine’s President Zelensky has given an impassioned speech addressing Jews following the missile strike at the site of Kyiv’s main Holocaust memorial. President Zelensky, who is Jewish and the grandson of a Holocaust survivor, said, “The whole world promises, constantly promises ‘never again’.”

WATCH: Boris uses Jesus’s parable in emotional speech on Ukraine

Boris Johnson  used the parable of the Good Samaritan to share a Bible-based message telling the congregation that the UK “cannot shut our eyes” to the country’s plight following the Russian invasion.

The Prime Minister made the speech at the Ukrainian Cathedral of the Holy Family in Mayfair, London on Sunday evening for which he received an emotional standing ovation.

Israel’s leaders: ‘We have a moral responsibility to help Ukraine’ as 100 tons of aid is sent from Israel

Israeli leaders have said they will stand on the “right side of history” on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Not only did Israel condemn Russia at the United Nations, but they will also co-sponsored the resolution, putting their full weight behind it.

Additionally, more than 100 tons of humanitarian equipment has been flown into Ukraine in recent days.
