THE CHURCH IS BLISSFULLY UNAWARE OF HOW MUCH THEY ARE BEING MANIPULATED BY LEADERS WHO FOLLOW A HIDDEN AGENDA!!

BLISSFUL IGNORANCE

133
Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you ….. faithful is He that calls you.  1 Thess 5:17,18,24
There are many Christians –  sometimes it seems like the majority – who are blissfully unaware of how and how much they are being manipulated by Leaders who follow a hidden agenda.
The sheep are being ‘sheepled’ to trust them without question as they follow the deviant  path away from Bible TRUTH. The old ways are abandoned while this new way of thinking, this new vision takes hold.
Instead of knowing exactly where a church stands doctrinally in the spectrum, denominations no longer separate , but are joined together in following teachings and management courses with a common aim [vision] to change their local area and more ambitiously, the world.
Whatever their original denominational background – even their names no longer indicate that –  they have been seduced into buying into programmes such as Purpose Driven, Alpha Courses and the like , to supposedly bring success to the church and glory to God. This manufactured  ’unity’ is justified by the Lord Jesus’ prayer ‘that they may be one’ …. John 17:21   – a typical example of truth which is taken out of context and not rightly divided with other scriptures.
Teachings once regarded and rejected as heresy [eg Word of Faith, Kingdom Now, Dominionism and Latter Rain] have been tolerated, assimilated, and eventually promoted in this noble cause of Unity, because the aim is to build a church without spot or blemish. The end justifies the means, and the Lord CANNOT return until this has been done.  I’m just staggered at the pride !
Have the sheep been taught to question, exercise caution discern Bible truth or warned of wolves in their midst?  Obviously not – no dissent allowed.  Besides – they are kept happy with a diet of exciting preaching, beautiful worship, ‘anointed’ ministries, and a God who continually keeps them updated on what New Thing He is doing. If doubts do arise the believer is casually advised to ‘spit out the bones’ or ‘discard the rubbish’  !  What could be wrong?
Well, for starters, where is the Bible, the word of God in all this?  Scripture is paid lip-service to in many cases simply to bolster support for false teaching as prophecies, visions and dreams are placed on a par with or even supersede Scripture.
The sheep must submit to an authoritarian Leadership – in some churches having decisions made for them in their personal lives. This results in either a happy, but false humility or a fearful bondage to man. Your thinking has been done for you. This is cult behaviour and no true Christian should allow themselves to be trapped in it.
Much of what is happening to the church at large [and the world in general]  is the result of Humanistic ‘transformation’ programmes – a dialectic process, which used to be called by it’s proper name of Brainwashing. Once you understand it, it explains such a lot of puzzling things that are going on these days.  Many Christians have fallen for it out of ignorance and naivety.  It shows itself in Management systems, political correctness, educational changes, health policies, church outreach and growth and buzz words.
There are lots of revealing articles to be found on some really useful discernment web sites …. a google search should easily find them. Here are a few good ones:  ’ The Agenda & Teaching of the New Apostolic Reformation’  which is on the Apologetics Co-Ordination site,   ‘Creating Community’  on Crossroad site and ‘Are You in the Throes of Transformation?’ on Discernment Ministries international.
There are two opposing views of the church in our day  - one sees an exciting revival around the corner as God ‘restores’  it to transform the world , the other sees a church becoming increasingly apostate in fulfillment of Bible prophecy for the last days. Which is correct?
Well, I think Rev 3:17  and the many warnings by the Lord and His Apostles indicate the latter, don’t you?
I am a natural coward and weak in myself  - especially as End Time believers are not promised an easy time, but it drives me to the Lord’s arms for refuge and reliance upon His word. He is faithful, merciful and our strength, for He cannot deny Himself. Who else can we go to?
For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall he hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock.   Psalm 27:5
…. when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.    Psalm 61:2
My soul, wait only upon God, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my Rock and my salvation He is my defense, I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the Rock of my strength and my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times you people, pour out your heart before Him – God is a refuge for us.  Psalm 62: 5-8

THE VATICAN IS NOT THE HARLOT OF BABYLON IN REVELATION. GOOD ARTICLE HERE BY THEODORE SHOEBAT.

Vatican as the Harlot of Babylon: Debunked

Is the Vatican the Hatlot of Babylon? Where did this idea originate from? Most will be shocked to find that some of the greatest enemies of Christianity were the ones who developed or supported this idea: Joseph Smith, founder of Mormonism; Muhammad, founder of Islam; John Huss, founder of the Hussites; and many of the most depraved heretics in Church history.
So why do many Evangelicals believe them? The shocking truth from history should help us rethink one of the most tainted ideas in Protestant theology. Many Protestant and Evangelicals think that it was first said by the Protestant Reformers, such as Luther or Zwingli. But this is false. This idea actually can be traced all the way back to the Middle Ages, from a gnostic sect in southern France called the Albigensians. These held a doctrine first contrived by one heretic from the third century, named Mani. He lived in Mesopotamia and started a cult called Manichaeism, which held–amongst numerous beliefs–that they were two gods, one of evil and one of good; that Christ never came in the flesh and that the crucifixion was a fantasy.
In other words, they were an antichrist, and so dangerous were they that St. John warned:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (I John 4:3)
They also believed that the Incarnation of Christ never occurred; the sufferings of Christ and the Eucharist were an illusion, and even life itself was considered by Mani to be an abomination from which all of humanity should seek to be free.
This antihuman doctrine spread to Armenia where its subscribers called themselves Paulicians, and then this sect made its way to the Balkans where it influenced a man in Bulgaria named Bogomil, who would start his own cult in his country. Though Bogomilism went underground, it continued to grow like bacteria growing stronger in static murky water in the summer heat. It spread to Italy and by the twelfth century it made its way to France where its followers would call themselves Cathars, from the Greek word “pure.”
In a council conducted in Toulouse in 1119, presided by pope Calixtus II, the Cathars were anathematized as heretics. By 1165 the Cathars had become so numerous that they began to preach in the open, with the Catholic bishops too fearful to protest. They soon commenced to form their own church separate from Roman Catholicism, establishing as their own bishop one Barthelemy in their city of Albi, where they built the Cathar community–the strongest in southern France. It was because of this community in Abli that these heretics were called Albigensians. (1)
It was these Albigensians who affirmed the belief that the Roman Church was the Harlot of Babylon spoken of in the Book of Revelation. Because of this belief, the Albigensians sought out ways to utterly uproot Christianity from Europe. But for the sake of brevity I cannot describe all of their crimes, so I will mention one of the most significant. The head of this heretical group, Raymond of Toulouse, wanted the Muslims to destroy all of Christendom, and so sent his emissaries to the king of Morocco to give this request. (2)
We have heard many a time that it was the Catholic Church who collaborated with Muhammad, but the reality is that it was the Catholics who combated Islam while the heretics worked with the Muslims.
Who else taught that the Harlot of Babylon is the Catholic Church? There was another sect that came about in Bohemia in the 15th century called the Hussites, or followers of John Huss.

CHRISTIAN CONCERN ON "CHURCH OF ENGLAND GIVES UP FIGHT OVER MARRIAGE"!!

Church of England gives up fight over marriage

Archbishop of Canterbury,
Justin Welby

Bishop of Leicester, Timothy
Stevens
The Church of England has announced that it will no longer fight the same sex 'marriage' Bill.

Statement from the Bishop of Leicester

The statement was made by the Bishop of Leicester, who is the Convenor of the Lords Spiritual. He said:

“Both Houses of Parliament have now expressed a clear view by large majorities on the principle that there should be legislation to enable same-sex marriages to take place in England and Wales.
“It is now the duty and responsibility of the Bishops who sit in the House of Lords to recognise the implications of this decision and to join with other members in the task of considering how this legislation can be put into better shape...

“If this bill is to become law, it is crucial that marriage as newly defined is equipped to carry within it as many as possible of the virtues of the understanding of marriage it will replace.

“Our focus during committee and report stages in the coming weeks and months will be to address those points in a spirit of constructive engagement."

You can read the full statement here >
or the report in the Telegraph here >

This effectively signals the end of the Church of England's official opposition to the Bill.

Archbishop of Canterbury's speech

Despite voting against the Bill (by voting for Lord Dear's "fatal motion") the Archbishop's position was unclear until he made his speech in the House of Lords. However, in his speech the Archbishop referred to "the strong and welcome contribution by the Bishop of Salisbury." This is a reference to the Bishop of Salisbury's letter to Lord Alli, in which he explains why he is sympathetic to "equal marriage." (See the letter here.)

It is extremely disappointing that Archbishop Welby commended him for this contribution rather than rebuking him for advocating a position contrary to Scripture and the Church's teaching.

The Archbishop also approved of the idea of same sex relationships in his speech, contrary to the Bible's teaching on homosexuality. He said: "It is clearly essential that stable and faithful same sex relationships should, where those involved want it, be recognised and supported with as much dignity and the same legal effect as marriage".

A full transcript of the Archbishop's speech is available here >

Please contact the Bishops

Although ministers of the Church England, Bishops are uniquely placed to speak on behalf of all Christians.

The Bible is clear that the Church does not exist to exercise the will of the State but the will of God. If there is a discrepancy between the two, the Church must follow the teaching of the Bible (Acts 5:29). At its best, the Church holds the State to account and promotes just laws in accordance with God's Word.

Please contact the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, and the Bishop of Leicester (Convenor of the Bishops in the House of Lords) to express your disappointment. Please call, write and email (contact details below).

Here are a few of the points you can make:
  • The Church does not exist to exercise the will of the State but the will of God. Where the two are at odds, the Church must follow the teaching of the Bible. (Acts 5:29)
  • The Bible and the Church of England's own canons are clear in their position on marriage. This teaching should be preserved and protected by the Church's ministers.
  • Many Christians look to the Bishops of the Church of England for guidance and direction. The lack of clarity and leadership on this issue from the Church of England has been very disappointing.
  • The Church's engagement with the secular world should never become a capitulation to it. This is what appears to be happening with the Church of England's new position on this Bill.

GREETINGS FROM THE MUSLIM BUCKINGHAM PALACE!!!

In the 2011 Census, Christianity was still the largest religious group in England and Wales with 33.2 million people (59% of the population).

Originally published at the Gatestone Institute.
The moment that the white British become a minority will symbolize a huge transfer of power — cultural political, economic and religious — an “irreversible change in British society, unprecedented for at least a millennium.” — David Coleman, Professor of Demography, University of Oxford
Islam is on track to become the dominant religion in Britain within the next generation, according to new census data published by the British government.
The numbers show that although Christianity is still the main religion in Britain — over 50% of the population describe themselves as such — nearly half of all Christians in Britain are over the age of 50, and, for the first time ever, fewer than half under the age of 25 describe themselves as Christian.
By contrast, the number of people under 25 who describe themselves as Muslim has doubled over the past ten years: one in ten under the age of 25 are Muslim, up from one in 20 in 2001.
If current trends continue — a Muslim population boom, combined with an aging Christian demographic and the increasing secularization of British natives — Islam is set to overtake Christianity in Britain within the next 20 years, according to demographers.
A new report published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on May 16 offers additional analyses of the 2011 census data previously published in December 2012.
In the 2011 Census, Christianity was still the largest religious group in England and Wales with 33.2 million people (59% of the population). The second largest religious group was Islam with 2.7 million people (5% of the population). The proportion of people who reported that they did not have a religion reached 14.1 million people, a quarter of the population (25%).
Although the overall population of England and Wales grew by 3.7 million between 2001 and 2011 to reach 56.1 million, in 2011, there were 4.1 million fewer people who reported being Christian (from 72% to 59% of the population). By contrast, 1.2 million more people reported being Muslim (from 3% to 5%), and 6.4 million more people reported no religion (from 15% to 25%).
The new report, however, shows that the number of British Christians is actually falling at a far faster rate than previously thought. The earlier analysis of the statistics showed a roughly 15% decline in the number of Christians over the past decade, but the ONS found that this figure had been artificially influenced by the recent arrival of Christian immigrants from countries such as Nigeria and Poland.
According to the new report, the number of white British Christians actually fell by 5.8 million people between 2001 and 2011; this decline was masked by an increase in the number of Christians not born in Britain during that same period, but who were there due to immigration.
In the 2011 Census, Christians had the oldest age profile of the main religious groups. Over one in five Christians (22%) were aged 65 and over, and nearly one in two (43%) were aged 50 and over; only one quarter (25.5%) were under the age of 25.
By contrast, Muslims had the youngest age profile of the main religious groups. Nearly half of Muslims (48%) were aged under 25 (1.3 million) and nine in ten (88%) were aged under 50 (2.4 million).
Muslims were also more ethnically diverse than Christians. Two-thirds of Muslims (68%) were from an Asian background, including Pakistani (38%) and Bangladeshi (15%). The proportion of Muslims reporting as Black/African/Caribbean/Black British (10%) was similar to those reporting as “other” ethnic group (11%). 93% of people (13.1 million) with no religion were from a white background.
The number of Muslims increased in all ethnic groups, but there was a particular jump among Asian Muslims. Pakistani Muslims increased by 371,000 (from 658,000 to over a million) and Bangladeshi Muslims have grown by 142,000 (from 260,000 to 402,000).
Just over half of all Muslims (53%) in 2011 were born outside Britain. The numbers have almost doubled in a decade with a rise of over half a million (599,000) from 828,000 to 1.4 million in 2011. A similar pattern can be seen for the number of Muslims born in Britain, where there was also a rise of over a half a million (560,000) from 718,000 to 1.2 million in 2011.
Muslims also had the lowest levels of economic activity (55%), compared to Christians (60%). The numbers are somewhat deceiving, however, as age is a major factor in economic activity. As most Christians in Britain are from an older demographic, this means that a large proportion of Christians not participating in the labor force are “retired” (69%).
By contrast, Muslims had the youngest age profile and were the most often economically inactive because they were “looking after home or family” (31%) or because they were “students” (30%). According to the census data, only 13% of Muslims in Britain were “retired.”
In an interview with The Telegraph newspaper, Fraser Watts, a professor of theology at Cambridge University, said it was “entirely possible” that Christians could become a minority within the next decade. “It is still pretty striking,” he said, “and it is a worrying trend and confirms what anyone can observe — that in many churches the majority of the congregation are over 60.”
David Coleman, a professor of demography at the University of Oxford, said the findings showed that Christianity is declining with each generation. “Each large age group,” he said, “as time progresses, receives less inculcation into Christianity than its predecessor ten years earlier.”
Coleman contrasts the decline of Christianity through the generations to what happens among Muslims. “We have a Muslim faith where most studies suggest adherence to Islam is not only transmitted through the generations but appears to get stronger,” he said. “Indeed, there seems to be some evidence that the second generation Muslims in Britain are more Muslim than their parents.”
In a recently published study, Coleman predicted that up to 40% of the population of Britain will be foreign or from a minority ethnic group within 50 years if current trends continue. By that time the white British population will be on the verge of becoming a minority.
According to Coleman, the combined population of ethnic minorities will exceed white Britons in about 2070; the non-white population could increase to 24 million and other whites to seven million by 2050.
The moment that the white British become a minority will symbolize a huge transfer of power. Coleman says it will underline a changed national identity — cultural, political, economic and religious. “An older white population would need to co-exist with a younger ethnic population, arguably required for its support,” he said.
Coleman has warned of the consequences of the ethnic transformation taking place in Britain and other parts of Europe. “History is not sanguine about the capacity of ethnic groups or religions to overcome their differences. The ethnic transformation implicit in current trends would be a major, unlooked-for, and irreversible change in British society, unprecedented for at least a millennium,” Coleman said.
Separately, it recently emerged that nearly one-third of all children born in England and Wales now have at least one foreign-born parent. In 2011, 224,943 babies had either one or both parents born outside of the United Kingdom — 31% of the total. This is a substantial rise on the figure in 2000, when 21.2% of babies had at least one non-British-born parent.
As Mohammed was by far the most popular name for baby boys born in England and Wales in 2011, many of these foreign-born parents would appear to be Muslim.
The politically correct ONS declared that Harry was the most popular boy’s name, with 7,523 baby boys receiving that name in 2011. But if one adds up the 22 different spellings of Mohammed (Mohammed, Muhammad, Mohammad, Muhammed, Mahammad, Mohamed, Mohamud, etc.), a total of 8,146 baby boys born in Britain were named after the Muslim prophet in 2011.
Sir Andrew Green, the director of Migration Watch, a think tank that focuses on immigration, summed it up this way: “This is the clear result of the Labour Party’s mass immigration policy which is changing the nature of our society at a speed which is unacceptable to the public who of course were never consulted.”

THE REVIVED OTTOMAN EMPIRE DRAWS EVER CLOSER AS ISLAM SEEKS TO CONTROL THE MIDDLE EAST - AND EVENTUALLY THE WORLD!!!

The Revived Ottoman Empire? By Jack Kelley.

The Ottoman Empire existed from 1299 until 1922. It was in many respects the Islamic successor to the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire and like the Roman Empire it had its headquarters in Constantinople (Istanbul). At the peak of its power and influence, the Ottoman Empire extended from the Adriatic Sea in the west to the Caspian Sea in the east and from Austro-Hungary in the north to the southern tip of the Red Sea. It was at the center of interactions between the Eastern and Western worlds for 6 centuries. The Ottoman Empire was defeated in World War 1, having aligned itself with Germany. Its dissolution at the end of the war led to the formation of 40 new nations in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Northern Africa, many of them on land once claimed by the Romans.

Suleiman The Magnificent

The Empire’s greatest days occurred under the rule of Suleiman the Magnificent who reigned from 1520-1566. Only 25 years old when he came to power, Suleiman began his reign by performing many acts of kindness and mercy toward his people. He freed hundreds of slaves, showered his officers with gifts, and built a school for slaves. To the Ottomans he was known as The Lawgiver, having re-written the non-Shariah portions of the law. This was the law by which the Ottoman Empire was governed for all of the remaining years of its existence. Because of the humanitarian nature of his laws he was also called Suleiman the Just by his subjects.
Suleiman was a powerful conqueror for Islam. His armies pushed the boundaries of the Empire nearly to Vienna and his powerful navies controlled the Mediterranean. Because of the tribute he received Suleiman became one of the wealthiest men of all time. He never wore the same clothes twice, he ate from solid gold plates with jewel encrusted utensils and had a harem of over 300 women.
The Ottomans were tolerant toward the Jews and welcomed thousands of them into the Empire after King Ferdinand expelled them from Spain in 1492. Suleiman’s father had wrested control of what is now Israel from Egypt in 1517 and Suleiman fell in love with Jerusalem, ordering its walls rebuilt in 1535. It was the first successful rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls since the Romans destroyed the city in 70 AD and Suleiman’s walls can still be seen surrounding the Old City today.
According to Nehemiah, the Persian King Artaxerxes Longimonus issued a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem following the Babylonian destruction. He did this in the spring of the 20th year of his reign (Nehemiah 2:1). On our calendar it would have been March of 445BC. On the 483rd anniversary of this decree Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey on what we know as the first Palm Sunday, fulfilling the prophecy from Daniel 9:25 of the Lord’s 1st Coming as Israel’s Messiah. Then in 68-70 AD the city was destroyed by the Romans.  After centuries of being rebuilt and then torn down by various conquering groups, the walls around Jerusalem were finally rebuilt for good by Suleiman beginning in 1535 AD, and during his reign the city enjoyed an exceptional period of peace and religious tolerance.

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk

Turkey is the surviving remnant of the Ottoman Empire. Following their defeat in WW1 the Empire was divided up by the victorious Western powers. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk had been a high ranking Ottoman officer and led the effort to found the Republic of Turkey. He set about to make it a secular nation in the style of western democracies. While endorsing Islam, he limited it to the status of a religion instead of allowing it to be the political force it had been. He saw to the suspension of the Ottoman Caliphate and Sultanate, clearing the way for the newly formed National Parliament to assume ultimate power. Among the many changes he enforced were the institution of a new language and alphabet, the adoption of western style of dress and mandatory 2nd names for men, and the granting of full political rights to women.
Until recently, Turkey has been viewed as a western nation. With membership in NATO and more than a dozen military and commercial treaties with Israel, Turkey has been an important western ally in the Middle East. In fact, many students of prophecy have seen Turkey’s alignment with the west as a major obstacle to an early fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39. It appears from a study of the modern equivalents to the Biblical names mentioned there that Turkey has to be among the Islamic forces that will invade Israel in the future.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Lately there’s been a major shift in Turkish politics in what could be a dramatic step toward the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38. After stalling for years, the EU has put Turkey’s application for membership on the back burner and as of now a majority of EU ministers oppose Turkey’s admission to the Union.
Perhaps as a result of this Turkey has begun to look to the East, and current Prime Minister Erdogan is fast becoming a regional Muslim leader by criticizing Israel—particularly after the Gaza war. His clout is spreading from the streets of Gaza to Beirut, Damascus, and Cairo—the traditional strongholds of Arab nationalism.
PM Erdogan is by far the country’s most popular political leader enjoying wide support among the Turkish people, due in part to his frequent criticism of Israel. He’s become convinced that instead of relying on outside powers to bring peace to the Middle East the Ottoman Empire should be re-born to take the lead. He’s been quoted as saying, “Turkey’s goal is to live in peace with all countries and restore the might of the Ottoman Empire.”
In this regard, a recent article by historian Robert E. Kaplan entitled ,”The US Helps Reconstruct The Ottoman Empire” has been getting some attention.  Dr. Kaplan’s specialty is modern Europe and he received his doctorate from Cornell University.  His article was published by the Gatestone Institute, “an international organization dedicated to educating the public about what the mainstream media fails to report.”
In the article Dr. Kaplan shows that with the exception of Iraq, the ultimate outcome of each American military intervention in Europe and the Middle East since the mid 1990′s has been the replacement of a secular government with an Islamist regime in an area that was formerly part of the Ottoman Empire. Providing detailed documentation, Dr. Kaplan wrote the article more to raise awareness of what he sees as US strategy in the region rather than to draw any conclusions.
It turns out that there are three primary beneficiaries of a revived Ottoman empire.  Turkey is an obvious one because Turkey is the surviving remnant of the original empire and is the logical choice to head up a revived version.  Germany is another beneficiary.  Germany had a close and beneficial relationship with the Ottomans in the years leading up to WW1 and is working behind the scenes with the US in the hope of regaining its influence in the Muslim world.  And the US benefits because like Turkey the New Ottoman Empire would be primarily composed of the Sunni sect of Islam.  Helping the Sunnis get control of the Middle East would further marginalize Shiite Iran, something the US sees as being strategically important.
If this is what’s really going on, it could help to explain Pres. Obama’s efforts to reconcile with the Islamic world,  why he included Turkey in his first overseas tour upon taking office, and why he seemed to be so obviously on the side of the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood in their efforts to unseat Hosni Mubarak’s secular government in Egypt.  It would also help to explain Turkey’s decision to build a $100 million mosque/cultural center in Lanham, Maryland,  about 30 minutes by car from the White House.  It is expected to “be the largest and most striking example of Islamic architecture in the western hemisphere” when it is finished in 2014.

The Man With No Name (Yet)

A Revived Ottoman Empire would send students of prophecy scurrying back into their Bibles to see if the re-birth of the Ottoman Empire could fulfill the prophecy of the so-called revived Roman Empire. There are already some who believe the 7th Kingdom of Rev. 17:10 is the Ottoman Empire, and they point out that Constantinople is also a city on seven hills. If so, its Islamic heritage would confirm the identity of the one world End Times religion as Islam.  It would also support the idea that the end times Islamic leader called al-Mahdi could be the anti-Christ.
As details of Islamic eschatology become more widely known, prophecy students are discovering a striking similarity between Islamic prophecies of al Mahdi and Christian prophecies of the anti-Christ. I’ve made mention of these in several previous articles, how both come on the scene during a time of great turmoil on Earth, both come claiming a desire to restore peace, both have a seven year reign, both head a one world religion and one world government, both claim supernatural origins, and both reigns end in a battle between good and evil that brings Earth’s final judgment. Could they be one and the same? The legend surrounding al-Mahdi as being in occlusion (supernaturally hidden) since the 10th century could make him the 8th king who belongs to the seven, just like Rev. 17:11 says.
As you can see we might have an interesting circumstantial case here for a revived Ottoman Empire. It’s not something to build doctrine on just yet, but it certainly bears watching. One nice thing about our times is we won’t have long to wait before we find out how these prophecies are fulfilled. You can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah.
